Golf Service Attendant | Laguna National

Summary of position:
  • – Assist with the overall upkeep of the clubhouse, cart storage area, golfers area and parking lot
  • – Assist guests and members upon arrival and departure
  • – Assists with bag handling and club cleaning
  • – Assists in the setup and execution of golf tournaments and events
  • – Controls and manages the inventory of locker keys and bag tags
  • – Maintains the cleanliness and neatness of the bag podium/ bag drop area, cart staging area, golf cart cleaning area
  • – Prepares golf carts for play adhering to our high standards of golf cart setup
  • – Services golfers with club rentals, cleans and checks condition of rental clubs upon return
  • – Cleans and polishes, assist with servicing and maintenance of the golf carts
  • – Performs range maintenance such as presenting practice facility with practice balls, practice short game area is organized, well prepared bag stands/ den caddies/ ball pyramids, and maintains ball inventory
  • – Maintains and cleans executive golf carts on a daily basis
  • – Good interpersonal skills and provides sincere and courteous service to all guests and members
  • – Regular and reliable attendance

Education/ Experience:
High school diploma or one to three months related experience and/ or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Environment:
Frequently works in outdoor weather conditions. Occasionally works in wet and humid conditions

Golf Course Officer (Marshal) | Laguna National

Job Description:
  • – Starts players on the first tee and explains the local rules and conditions for the day
  • – Present a well-rehearsed starter spiel to provide all the information a golfer will be required to know throughout the duration of their round
  • – Maintains a complete and accurate starter sheet
  • – Strongly enforce local course rules and policies such as repairing ball marks, fill divots, and maintains acceptable pace-of-play
  • – Repair ball marks, fill divots, sand bottles are full, replace any hazard stakes or any directional signage on the golf course, and collects trash that may be on the course
  • – On-course player assistance, ensuring player safety and appropriate behavior
  • – Monitor inclement weather, adhere to lightning procedure and responsible for evacuation and safety of golfers
  • – Communicate constantly with Club Concierge/Golf Shop and all Golf Operation team
  • – Reports all problems and situations (time pace delay) to supervisor or department heads in a timely manner
  • – Maintains an accurate up-to-date disciplinary record for minor and major offenses made by members and guests
  • – First point person to address issues on course such as dangerous play incidences and other on-course emergencies
  • – Should be updated and knowledgeable on basic local and R&A rules
  • – Regular and reliable attendance
  • – Good interpersonal skills are required to ensure enforcement is received in an agreeable manner

Club Concierge Customer Service Associate | Laguna National

Summary of position:
  • – Provide a high level of customer service and assist with members and guests inquires
  • – Assist with golf reservations for members and guests (phone, email, in-person)
  • – Performs opening and closing procedures for golf shop
  • – Responsible for the accountability of all sales and money transactions made during shift
  • – Maintains an accurate up-to- date Tee Sheet
  • – Collects Green fees, buggy fees, rental club/shoe fees, corporate fees and late cancellation fees
  • – Assists members and guests by selling merchandise and providing information in a professional manner
  • – Assist with rotating stock, displaying merchandise in an appealing manner and keeping displays well presented and orderly
  • – Assist with maintaining and monitoring inventory, assist with monthly stock take
  • – Communicate with Golf Service Attendant, Golf Course officer regarding any changes
  • – Assist Corporate events with billing, registration, goodie bags, issuing score card
  • – Receive and process payment from Member’s monthly statement and assist with refunds and billing disputes
  • – Provide members and guests with application of forms for various privileges and services that we offer
Education/ Experience:

Golf Relations Officer | Laguna National

Summary of position:
  • – Provide a high level of customer service and assist members and guests with inquires
  • – Assist at Bag Drop area with greeting guests and assisting with golf bags, bag tagging and locker tag
  • – Prepare daily booking sheet and starter sheet
  • – Handle all lost and found items, damage claims and Hole-in- One claims
  • – Update score cards and Handicap index for member and guests in to the SGA Handicap system
  • – Assist in registration during events and tournaments
  • – Assist in preparation of scorecards, bag tag labels, draw list, time slots, event posters, novelty events and event setup
  • – Coordinate events and disseminate instructions to our  Golf Course Officers, Golf Service Attendant and Club concierge team
  • – Assist with setting up of scoreboards, display draw lists, score card submission, scoring of events and prize presentation ceremony
  • – Monitor inclement weather with NEA weather systems and adhere to lightning procedure
  • – Assist with Starting and Marshaling the golf course

Responsibilities
  • – Assist with the overall upkeep of the Driving Range, specifically the Golf Shop and Lobby area.
  • – Provide a high level of customer service and assist with members, guests and public enquires.
  • – Perform opening and closing procedures for golf shop and help to provide daily sales reports.
  • – Responsible and accountable for all sales and money transactions made during shift.
  • – Assist with rotating stock, displaying merchandise in a professional manner and keeping displays well presented and orderly.

  • – Understand and carry out correct procedures during lightning delays (especially important for short game area)
  • – Assist with promoting all club events and activities.
  • – Allocate specific member bays each day and ensure members of the public don’t use these.
  • – Welcome every golfer that attends the driving range in a professional and friendly manner.
  • – Assist golfers with trying out demo clubs by understanding the benefits of certain clubs from the Golf Shop.
  • – Assist with the set up of Driving Range events when required.

  • – Sufficient computer skills will be vital. A sound understanding of MS office and the ability to learn booking and point of sales software is essential for this role..

  • – Oversee the short game area to ensure furnishings are placed in the correct area and signage displayed correctly.
  • – Continually conduct a walk through of the bay area to ensure all areas are tidy, clear of range baskets, trash and other loose items.
  • – Maintain ball picker and ensure it is being used correctly and full functional.
  • – Assist Golf Shop Customer Service Assistants if and when required.
  • – Ensure that golfers are using the correct areas of the driving range depending on their privileges.
  • – Monitor the Short game area to ensure health and safety requirements are being met.
  • – Coordinate with Academy to ensure they have everything they require with regards to golf balls.
  • – Assist in setting up for academy group clinics.
  • – Help Assistant manager ensure the Driving Range field is set up correctly for any events that will be happening.
  • Interact with members and public in a professional and courteous manner at all times.
  • – Work with all range staff to provide a high level of customer service.
  • – Report any misuse of range facilities by any customers.

Must be able to drive machinery or have experience with driving range equipment and machinery.
Environment:
  • – This job will require a lot of self discipline and the drive and determination to work hard even when not being monitored.

  • Job will require moderate manual labour and lifting up to 30kg.
 Job Knowledge, Skills & Ability Preferences:
Past experience at a golf facility is beneficial. This individual would preferably be a golfer themselves or have a good understanding of golf. They must be able to show attention to detail as well as being hard working.

  • – Trouble-shoot/ assist customers with range technology within some of the bays.
